Freshmen team beats American Leadership 21-6

The Freshmen football team started their season off with a big win at the American Leadership Academy, winning 21-6.  The Bulldogs got off to a quick start with a touchdown by Isaac Haas in the first quarter, coming right back at the start of the second quarter with a safety and then a second touchdown by Isaac Haas.  Riley Harper successfully kicked for the extra point, closing the first half at 15-0.  The ALA Eagles came back in the third quarter with a touchdown, but the Judge defense denied them the two extra points.  Judge scored its final touchdown in the third quarter off a hand-off to Isaac Haas.  Great effort by the Judge defense, with several quarterback sacks made by Thomas Arnold, Ben Cook, Desmond Collins, and Shane Jimenez.  Riley Harper and Daniel Shiramizu both played at quarterback.  Patrick Griffin had a great rushing game on the offensive line.  The Freshmen team next plays its first game at home on August 30.  *Re-cap courtesy of Kelly Francone

Judge 42....North Sanpete 7

The Bulldogs traveled to Mt. Pleasant on Friday night to face the North Sanpete Hawks.  The Bulldogs came up victorious on Friday, dominating the Hawks 42 - 7!  It was a beautiful night for football, and the Bulldogs looked AWESOME!  Touchdowns were scored by Bruce Garlinghouse (3), Lewis Walker (2) and Devaughn Wilkins (1).  The North Sanpete Hawks didn't stand a chance with the Bulldog defense led by Tyson Moll, and a stand out performance by Zach McKown, holding the Hawks to just 7 points.  The Bulldog offense was unstoppable!  The running game and the passing game were ON!  GO BULLDOGS!  Next up:  Woods Cross on August 31 at Judge Memorial.  Check out the North Sanpete photo album for photos from the game!

RED AND GOLD GAME

  Saturday was a beautiful day for football!  The day began at 10:00 am with the kick off of the Red and Gold Game.  The varsity team was split into two teams which scrimmaged against each other.  The red team scored first with a touch down run by Lewis Walker, but a failed extra point kick left the score 6-0.  The gold team came back to tie it up with a touch down run by Tyson Moll, and took the lead with an extra point kick by Sean Sellwood.   The Bulldogs looked strong both running the ball and passing the ball!  It should be an exciting season.  Team captains were also named on Saturday.  They are:

• Lewis Walker

The future of Judge football looks bright with the incoming freshmen class..  The freshmen team took the field after the varsity scrimmage and looked to be a team to be reckoned with!
